How To Make A QR Code For Your Sticker
How To Make A QR Code For Your Sticker
Some QR Sticker Plug designs let you upload a business QR code, contact QR code, website QR code, social media QR code, or payment QR code.
If you do not already have a QR code, you can make one before ordering.
We recommend using QRStuff.com.
QRStuff lets you create QR codes for websites, business cards, phone numbers, contact info, and more. Static QR codes on QRStuff can be created for free, and QRStuff says static QR codes have unlimited scans and do not expire.
What Kind Of QR Code Should I Make?
Choose the QR code type based on what you want people to do when they scan your sticker.
Website QR Code
Use this if you want people to scan your sticker and visit:
- your website
- your booking page
- your online store
- your service page
- your Linktree, Beacons, Carrd, or social link page
This is usually the best option for businesses.
Contact / vCard QR Code
Use this if you want people to scan and save your contact info.
A vCard QR code can include things like:
- name
- business name
- phone number
- website
- address
- job title
This is good for contractors, landscapers, barbers, cleaners, realtors, pest control, handymen, trainers, instructors, and service businesses.
Phone Number QR Code
Use this if you want people to scan and call you.
This is good for service businesses that want fast calls.
Email QR Code
Use this if you want people to scan and email you.
This is good for quotes, bookings, business inquiries, and customer service.
Social Media QR Code
Use this if you want people to scan and visit your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or other profile.
If you have multiple social links, it is usually better to make one Linktree, Beacons, Carrd, or website contact page first, then make a QR code for that page.

- Choose the QR code type you need.
- Enter your website, phone number, email, contact info, business page, or social link.

Best File To Upload
For best results, upload a clear PNG image of your QR code.
A clean QR code works better than a blurry screenshot.
Test Before Uploading
Before uploading your QR code to QR Sticker Plug, test it with another phone.
Make sure it opens the right website, contact card, phone number, email, or social profile.
If the QR code does not scan before you upload it, it probably will not scan on the printed sticker.
QR Code Upload Tips
Use a clear QR image.
Do not crop off the edges.
Do not add filters, emojis, stickers, or heavy effects over the QR code.
Do not upload a dark or blurry screenshot.
Make sure the full QR code is visible.
Make sure the link or contact information is correct.
Static vs Dynamic QR Codes
A static QR code has the information built into the QR image. Once you make it, you usually cannot change where it goes.
A dynamic QR code can usually be edited later and may include scan tracking, but it may require a paid plan.
For most QR Sticker Plug customers, a free static QR code is enough.
For business owners who may change links later, a dynamic QR code may be better.
Important
QR Sticker Plug is not responsible for wrong links, wrong phone numbers, wrong emails, expired links, broken pages, or QR codes that do not scan because the uploaded QR image was blurry, cropped, or incorrect.
Always test your QR code before uploading it.
Your uploaded QR code is used only to create your custom sticker order.
